Founded 1995 at James Madison HS

Family oriented program

  • Our program has taught more than 15000 students since 1995.
  • All of our main instructors have more than 10 years of teaching experience.
  • All of our instructors have WSI, USS coach, and ASCA licenses.
  • We offer classes of all levels ranging from beginner swimming to professional(national level).
  • Instructor/Student ratio for the Beginning level (level 1-2) is 1:4;
    for Intermediate(Level 3-4) 1:5-7;
    for Advanced(Level 5-7) 1:5-10.
  • Over 10 qualified instructors and insturctor aids.

Our Goals

  • First and foremost, to teach our students to swim safely
  • To teach our students to swim correctly using sound fundamental techniques
  • To improve our student's physical conditioning
  • To raise each individual swimmer's confidence
  • Last but not least, to teach sportmanship
 
ALAN ZHU
During his days at Brooklyn Technical HS, Alan was the MVP and co-captain of the swim team. He was a member of the PSAL all-star team for 3 years and was awarded a Brooklyn Tech PSAL Medal. He still holds 2 high school records. In College, Alan swam for the Binghamton University swim team. He was an assistant coach for the LaGuardia Aquatic Club. He is also a very well known swimmer in Metropolitan Swimming and has qualified to represent New York City in the Empire State Games 3 times. In addition to all of this, he taught an Olympic qualifier and a National Age Group record holder. He has over 10 years of coaching experience.
LINDA ZHU
Linda was a former Canton province(China) team swimmer who specialized in the breaststroke. She is also a member of the LaGuardia Aquatic Club coaching staff. She has taught numerous swimmers who qualified for the Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Senior Metropolitan, and Speedo Sectional Qualifiers and Junior Nationals. She has over 30 years of coaching experience.
KENNY ZHU
Kenny was also a former Canton province team swimmer who specialized in breaststroke. He is also a member of the LaGuardia Aquatic Club coaching staff. He, like Linda and Alan, has taught numerous swimmers who qualified for the Junior Olympics, Eastern Zones, Senior Metropolitan, and Speedo Sectional Qualifiers and Junior Nationals. He has over 30 years of coaching experience.
   
SAFETY RULES & POLICIES    
 

Class Time Rules

  • No running
    No shoving
    No horse play
    No splashing
    No gossiping, fooling around, etc. during class time
  • Do not sit or lean on lane dividers.
  • Do not enter the pool unless the instructor is there and instructs you to do so.
  • Warm up and stretch completely before entering the pool.
  • Do not enter the deep end without instructor or lifeguard supervision.
  • Do not dive unless instructed to.
  • Do not leave the pool without permission. Let your instructor know before going to the bathroom.

Policies

  • Make-up policy: There will only be three make up classes allowed per semester, regardless of the number of absences.
  • We are not responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
  • No refund once the semester begins.
